Software Builder Factories

One options set. Two factories. Apps that can sync.

WildFly Factory Builder

Builder

WildFly Builder is a prototype software factory that stamps WildFly / Java EE apps from a shared template, metadata, and Groovy extenders.

template/ is the base WildFly framework. build/ holds reusable fragments declared in XML:

- APP_APPS — application and module wiring
- APP_CODES — code fragments
- APP_EVENT_CODES — event handlers
- APP_FUNCS — functions
- APP_PROCS — procedures

An app-specific extender selects those fragments and applies them onto the template. Helpers in this repo (updateAppsList.groovy, update_and_commit.sh) refresh the app list and overlay the factory onto a target project.

Think of a 3D printer: small pieces of code are fused onto the chassis to produce a deployable WildFly app. Same factory, different option files, different cars.

Build and deploy scripts live in each generated app repo, not in this builder. A typical app script pulls WildFly Builder, overlays template/ and build/, runs update_and_commit.sh, then WildFlyBuilder and an extender such as BookletExtender.
